- Members have the right to learn of the goodness of Jesus Christ in a warm, friendly environment.
- Members have the right to exercise their suggestions (I Corinthians 14:40; Ecclesiastes 3:1,7).
- Members have the right to be appointed/elected to Ministry Leader positions for which they are qualified.
- Members have the right to be appointed/elected to Church staff positions for which they are qualified.
- Members have the right to host their wedding ceremonies at Shady Grove (per guidelines).
- Members have the right to receive a proper funeral at Shady Grove (per guidelines).
- Members have the right to have their children’s dedication to the Lord at Shady Grove.
- Members have the right to vote on church policy matters brought before the congregation.
- Members have the right to serve on various ministries for which that they are capable.

Responsibilities

- Members are responsible for letting the statues of the Bible rule supreme in our congregation (II Timothy 3:15-17).
- Members are responsible for living a life of faith and growing into spiritually mature Christians (Romans 1:17; Proverbs 4:18).
- Members are responsible for the unity of the church (Ephesians 4:3).
- Members have the right to receive a proper funeral at Shady Grove (per guidelines).
- Members are responsible for being active in worship services, Bible studies, support group and etc.
- Members are responsible for the means of the church’s ministry by way of tithes (Malachi 3:10).
- Members are responsible for adhering to the five-fold purpose, mission, vision, church covenant, beliefs, and values of the Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church (Proverbs 29:18).
